Has anyone ever had to put their journey on hold for 6 months... did you get your appointments right away or did you have months to wait again?

You have to wait and after so long you have to restart the whole process

They said if I go back within 6 months I will continue on. I won't have to begin at the beginning.. but I was just wondering how long it takes to get your other appointments once you register back.

I wonder if they would just let you book your next appointments 6 months in advance now, and not wait to boo****il then?

That's a great suggestion! It's worth asking and would probably save you time if you know you need to be out for 6 months.

I took 6 months off which in the end I felt was a big mistake. I at least shouldn't have dropped out of the program to take that 6 months. It's such a long process I could have left at any time so really consider if you absolutely have to leave the program or if you can just keep taking your appointments.

From being reinstated at the end of my 6 month hiatus to now has been just over 1 year. I think it definitely added more than 6 months to my journey. All in with the 6 month break it's been nearly 2 years since my referral and my surgery is next Friday.

All im saying is consider carefully if you can work through whatever is holding you back while staying active in the program. You never know when you'll change your mind and decide moving forward is the right thing to do. I feel like I lost precious time by deciding to take a break and that decision has impacted me and my family.

Hope that helps! In the end do what's best for you.
