TWH - when am I allowed puréed foods?
Awesome!!! About the list, but mostly about the veggies!!! Yay!
And ugh... I miss veggies. My sis has been making me broccoli and cauliflower soup (puréed then strained). It's delicious with homemade stock even! But I do miss just eating veg. Soon enough. :)
The weight loss certainly is worth it!!

I think she makes it up every time!!! I know she made a stock using a whole chicken and an assortment of vegetables and spices. She kept just the liquid and let it sit in the fridge overnight for the fat to rise and easily be removed.
Then she uses that as the base for the soups. She boils in broccoli and cauliflower, a bit of salt and pepper, chopped onion. I imagine she has deglazed all the veg first. Once cooked, she purées with the immersion blender. Adds a bit of 1% milk to thicken. Then slowly puts through a fine strainer.
I know it's all approximate... I didn'****ch but I saw some ingredients. Hope that helps!!

Hi D.
In the booklet I got from St. Joe's it says all clear liquids the first day after surgery. The next day you can add full fluids (ie. milk, protein drink). The day that you come home and start monitoring your full fluids on your own is considered day 1 of week 1. Also check out this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J420pX3vfpI Dr. Weiner "A Pound of Cure" is great. I bought the book. My whole family followed his way for eating for 2 weeks to see if we could do it and we all lost weight and felt fantastic. He is a bariatric surgeon and this is the diet he puts his patients on for life. As soon as my 6 weeks are up, I plan on following this for sure. It's all about real food...fruits, veggies, protein. I plan on being as healthy as absolutely possible!! I am so excited!!

Sorry, actually the day after you come home from hospital is day 1. I just read through the thread and someone else mentioned that. So, I am home from the hospital today and I didn't really track anything today either at the hospital or at home...just drinking lots of protein and fluid. Tomorrow is day one for me.
