Post Op RNY 17 mos
Good morning. A chilly one today but should shape up to be another gorgeous day in southwestern Ontario. Up and at em just heading to the gym this morning. My gym partner has already told me she won't be going this week, so makes it just a little bit tougher to get myself motivated, but I do it for me!!
A hole in my menu today as I have a meeting this afternoon and we'll be meeting for lunch first. haven't had the chance to look at the menu so we'll see.
B - lasagna sauce and cheese
S - deli turkey and cheese
L - ??
S - not likely after lunch
D - bacon/tomato lettuce boats with a tbsp. light mayo
Have a great day everybody!

Working today till 4ish then my son has hockey tryouts. I'll get my steps in by walking around the arena and talking to people lol :)
Went to pita pit for lunch and they kept asking if I wanted more lettuce in my salad I get from there. I said no, it's ok as I won't eat what I have in here already. Looks small for "normal" people but still looked huge for me. I was just in it really for the chicken and cheese. I ran out of the house this morning and forgot the "salad" I had made so I'll eat it for dinner. My son had cross country at 8;25am and my daughter didn't want to wake up.
B: Premier & coffee
S: Sunflower seeds
L: Chicken, green pepper, cheese, cucumber and onion - no dressing
D: chicken, cucumber, cheese and onion - no dressing

Good afternoon :)
I tried to post yesterday but I got pulled away for something at work and the page had expired when I got back and I ran out of time!! I started my new job yesterday (six month contract) which is good and bad. Hopefully it will help keep me busy and on routine. Bad because it seems to be quite a bit of sitting. But at least I have my own office for now.
Today I got up early and put lots of good food into my lunch bag. I've gone with more of a snacks approach so I can mix and match things throughout the day depending on how I feel.
Post-op two years, six months.
Breakfast - protein shake (finished it in the car which isn't my favourite thing to do)
Snack - egg, yogurt
Snack - swiss miss hot chocolate
Lunch - zucchini lasagna
Snack - turkey pepperoni, cheese stick
Snack - turkey, cheese whisps
Dinner - chicken
Snack - protein shake if needed
All water and vits.

Hi Menu friends,
I am having trouble eating enough this week. I've been sick for 2 weeks and food just isn't sitting well. My cold or flu or whatever triggered my asthma so I'm hesitant to add protein drinks, other than mixed in with my coffee, because dairy makes my asthma worse when it's already bad...otherwise i'm fine with it. Saw the doctor today and he gave me a prescription for antibiotics and prednisone. I asked if I could hold off on the prednisone and see if the antibiotics will work first and he said that would be fine. The last thing i want is prednisone (I don't do well with it; too many side effects, even on short runs of the stuff).
Yesterday I only managed to get in 350 calories, 44 grams of protein, 18 carbs. I've been focusing on getting my water in.
I need to do better today but was at the doctor's office for an hour, then had to wait another hour for Xrays. Then I spent two hours wandering around Walmart, waiting for my prescription. I felt fine for the first hour but was dizzy and feeling awful for the second hour, but at least I got some exercise in, my first in over 2 weeks.
Breakfast: 1 decaf with 1/4 cup premier protein
Lunch: 1 hard boiled egg, 1 cup watermelon
Supper: Not sure, probably chicken if I can manage it. Otherwise just chicken soup broth (home made).
Snacks: Greek yogurt with 1/4 cup strawberries. Babybel light cheese.
