Hi all,

So it's done... RNY. No complications. Yay! (and phew)

I remember lying in the OR thinking "I should stop this... this is crazy" as the realization hit me!!! That was my last thought, then I woke up and thought "omg, what have I done" as pain seared through my body.

It's a few hours later, and while I'm not pain free, I'm more "uncomfortable" than in pain. I'm tired; dry mouth is my enemy no matter what I do.

I've been up walking, sipping water, peeing, etc.

Hoping it gets better from here!

((hugs)) to all.

day 2 was hard for me, but everything truly does get better there on out!
Don't be afraid to ask for the pain meds, the nurses told me it was best to stay ahead of the pain.

Keep up the walking and sipping.

and oh yeah... WELCOME TO THE LOSERS BENCH!!!

Welcome to the other side! I had a little "buyers remorse" the second day after surgery but never since. As the pounds fall off you will start feeling so free from this weigh!

The absolute worse part for me was the dry throat that lasted a couple days.

Hang in there! And congrats!
