How old were you when starting your WLS journey?

I'm 20, starting my journey with my orientation next month! 5'6, 280lbs

Hi!

I'm Courtney, and I'm 25, turning 26 this November. I had my initial orientation at the end of April 2017. I have completed so far the orientation class, social worker appointment, dietician and follow up, blood work, ECG, Upper GI scope, and sleep test, all at Hotel Dieu Hospital in Kingston.

I still have to follow up from my sleep test, and have a final follow up with the social worker, both appointments which are scheduled in September. Then I will be meeting with the surgeon for my surgery date! I'm hoping to convince my surgeon for a VSG, though I'm trying to prepare myself that I may only have the RNY option.
