Did everyone know that Obesity Coverage has a tool that predicts your weight losses according to months and type of surgery. LOW MEDIUM HIGH. .....LOL.... Jo

yup, I think its so cool. I've checked it a few times. It's great for when I think I'm slowing down and then I check it and it shows that I am further along than predicted

I was surprised by this tool as it shows that the sleeve has a better weight loss than RNY. I thought it was the other way around.

Referred January 7/17, Orientation Humber May 28/17, Meet Dr. August 4/17, TRIO November 3/17, Internist November 21/17, Surgeon again December 21/17, Pre-op assessment January 4/18 and Surgery January 12/18.

Good morning,

Obesity Help also has a resource that I have been using and LOVE it. I was told about it on the "What are you Eating" thread. You put in your weight prior to surgery (after Opti), and enter in the percentage of weight loss you would like to achieve. I put in 100%, 90% and 80% (of the excess weight). Of the 100%, at month 5, I am at the Month 4 weight (according to this, 6 lbs. heavier than I should be) which is pretty accurate. It is a guide only. The BMI team says we should lose 60 to 80% of our excess weight, so using 100% probably shows that I am ahead of the game.

Look under resources. I also use the BMI calculator and update it along with my weight and measurements on a monthly basis.

Look at it; it's a great resource and fun to look at it remembering IT IS ONLY A GUIDE! No disappointment allowed.

Orientation: June 29th, 2016, Surgery March 22, 2017. Pre-surgery: 16 lbs, (Size 2x, 18/20), M1: 19 lbs. (Size 1x, 16/18), M2: 13 lbs. (Size 16, XL) M3: 10 lbs. (Size 14/16, large). M4: 6 lbs. (Size 14, large/medium). M5: 10 lbs. (Size 14, solid medium - lol), M6: 9 lbs. (Size 12, medium). M7: 8 lbs. (Size 10/12 and small/medium). M8: 7 lbs. (Size 10 and small/medium). M9: 2 lbs. (Size 8/10 - small/medium). Lost 100 lbs by Month 9! M10: 5 lbs. M11: 4 lbs. One year: 6 lbs. Total 111 lbs. lost!
