TWH is offering transfers to Guelph

I went through TWH and a transfer was arranged to Guelph for me. I had a call on Monday to meet the surgeon on the Friday OF THE SAME WEEK! He booked the surgery three weeks later and was excellent. It is a smaller hospital (which I prefer), they have an excellent clinic, and your follow-up (other than seeing the surgeon a month later - which was optional) is done completely through TWH. I'm two hours away from Toronto and just over two hours from Guelph. I am thankful there is flexibility in the program and for me, due to staffing issues, it worked perfectly.

Hi I just read you were transfered to guelph. Did you have your meet the surgeon appt at toronto western first? My file is being transferred to guelph, I have finished my appts, went to rounds and was approved for surgery but I didn't have a meet the surgeon appt at toronto western. I've been waiting a couple weeks for the transfer. My file is supposed to be sent next week.

Likewise. I had an appointment to meet the surgeon March 15. My file was transferred and things moved fast. I cancelled the appointment and had my surgery a week after I would have just met the surgeon at TWH. I was a VERY thankful patient.
