Sleeved, Home and not comfy!

Hi all. Just a quick update. I'm finally home. Sleeved on Wednesday with a moderate hernia repair. It has been very rough. Low O2 high heart rate mild fever so they kept me a bit longer. Just been sipping away. The protein has got me trotting again. You go from a morphine gravol IV to ES acetaminophen. Big jump. I've been doing laps around the house, breathing exercises and in bed. So to those of you who leave hospitals feeling great...kudos!! Unfortunately that is definitely not my case. I'm in pain.
On a positive note. I lost 20.4 lbs pre op liquid diet.
Take care everyone, I'll check in later in the week.

Sorry you had to stay longer in the hospital, and that your still in pain. I was sleeved too. I had horrible gas pains, that I was given oxycodone for after the first day, and given that to take home. That helped a lot better than the morphine did, believe it or not.
I wonder if your hernia repair is adding to your pain...however we all respond differently to surgery. My pain got better every day, and after the first week or so, outside of being sore/tender it was gone.
I'm wishing you a healthy recovery and to be pain free ASAP.
I know there aren't a lot of sleeve patients on the ontario forum, so if you have any questions feel free.
Good luck to you!

Thank you!
Things have been going well. Haven't had any complications, or food intolerances thus far. Very happy about that. I had my six months post op appointment yesterday (technically 5 1/2 months out) and for the most part it went well. Still have my social work class next month, and once I'm six months out, I did plan to do an update. I am now allowed to eat anything I want now lol No more food restrictions!!!
No regrets and so happy I did this.
