The wait is over!
Hello Everyone,
I have been absent from the site for a portion of the summer due to holidays and no WiFi! I have missed the daily reading and inspiration that you all provide for me.
I am awaiting a call from the Civic Hospital to tell me what time my surgery will be tomorrow. At points during this journey I thought I would never get to this point, there were moments of frustration with the process and a small bit of anger. Now looking back it doesn't seem that long, 7 1/2 months from orientation to surgery. I am so glad to have only 2 opti shakes left to drink, I know some don't mind it but for me it took a concentrated effort to get each shake down no mater how creative I was with the flavouring.
I was so happy to find Obesity Help, it has made all the difference in preparing for this surgery. Everyday I read the post I learn something new. I am sure this learning process will continue for me from the losers bench.
I would like to thank 2 people in particular for just being amazing supportive WLS friends: Oneatatime and Kalibella you girls ROCK!
Wish me luck tomorrow!

I am so so excited for you to have to surgery tomorrow and can't wait for you to be on the loser's bench.
You've done really well with everything, and it's been so great getting to know you. 2 more re shakes, 1 more sleep (or not a lot of sleep; which is fine - you're going to sleep a lot the next few days!). Then before you know it tomorrow, you'll be recovering nicely.
((Hugs)) girl. You got this!!
