Have you talked to your dietician yet? To me it seems like a lot for that short a time out - but im not a dietician. I eat 6 times a day as well. Id reach out to your clinic for advice as they are the professionals

I expressed my concerns at my 3 month and she told me that the amount I'm eating is still conducive to losing weight and that she was not concerned that it was too much. I go this Friday for my follow up and I'll ask again. I suspect it may have something to do with the amount of weight I have to lose...it seems like a lot to me too
Good idea. Again im pregnant and she wants me to try for 1000 without pushing it - i dont know how im gunna do but ill try... i rarely get 800

I'm just over 5 months post-op and I'm eating anywhere between 550-700 calories/day. The RD indicated that I should eat anywhere between 600-800. I recently increased, more so now I'm averaging 650 and increased my protein to 90-100g and increased water and am losing again. But it does slow down
I'd say if it's working for you stick with it? But if you're hungry throughout the day...are your snacks protein filled? It can keep you full longer. And carbs can make you hungry to... I keep my carbs below 31g/day
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the encouragement, GeorgianBay_Girl! Yes my snacks are protein. If I have a bit of carbs it's usually with a meal and minimal. It does seem to be working for now but I have been trying to reduce the calories even further. I see that you've lost about 74 since opti? So you started opti a few weeks before your surgery (late Feb?). Anyway, you're doing amazing! It's helpful for me to see too that you weighed a lot less out of the starting gate and so it makes me think that now that I'm still 293lbs. that what I'm doing now may be okay but that as I continue to lose I may have to reduce to get maximum results.
At my 6 month follow up, my dietician wanted me between 950-1100 calories a day but she said I'm tall so she wanted me up near 1100. I'm 5'9. I also can't get to 1100. I stick to about 950. I don't eat many carbs - I try to stay under 50grams a day and sometimes it creeps up to 70g but not often. I was eating more because I was drinking iced coffee up until this week. I lost 5.3lbs this past month and I think it's because my diet was off. I am back down to my lowest today. I've lost 106lbs since Dec 26th when I started opti for 3 weeks and since surgery I'm down 92lbs.
You are doing great but the calories at 1100-1500 seem really high for the stage you are at but that's just me. It'll be harder to cut back your calories the farther out I'm sure.
