Good morning all,

Cloudy here and a little cooler. Thunderstorms expected late this afternoon through to tomorrow. I'm hoping it will be a predominantly nice weekend.

B - protein shake with large black decaf.

L - 3/4 cup 1% cottage cheese

S - Armstrong cheese stick

D - 2.5 oz. grilled chicken with 1/4 cup green beans

S - Skyr and unsweetened applesauce

Calories: 660, Protein: 82, Carbs: 25. All water and vitamins

I've started working out at home concentrating on arms, legs and abs. 250 crunches a day using my ab roller, rotating with arms and legs using weights with my oh, so fit son Michael. I'm losing the weight and inches, and need to firm up what's underneath - we'll see what remains on top. Saying that "cream rises to the top" just means it's hard to get rid of the fat - lol. I so funny (or lame).

Enjoy your day.

My typical day today food-wise, lots of fruit today because it is sooo good right now!

Been a good week. Hit 143 this morning, though I'm technically in maintenance a part of me wants to get to 139 just because. Had my annual physical today. My doctor was blown away at my weight loss and overall health. she was beaming. Only blip was that my kidney tumor they found 2 years ago has grown. My ALT on my blood test is high too (kidneys), so will have to go for a CT scan. I'm approaching 50 so she also talked to me about scheduling a colonoscopy and mammogram.

Heading to the cottage this weekend for the first time this summer. My goal will be not to gain over the weekend. Hoping it is warm, this has been a pretty cold summer so far.

B-premier protein with espresso

s-chia pudding with peaches, strawberries and blueberries

l- protein oat muffin

s.same as morning snack

s. almonds

d-tilapia with pico de gallo and guacamole

s. blueberries

Hello everyone - travelling for work today and then going to my hometown to possibly be saying "goodbye" to my childhood friend who is terminally ill and just being made "comfortable" by hospital staff. Her family has called me in. She is only 43. Hard to think this might be the last time I see and talk to her. I just thought we had so much more time together. In this stage of my life, with kids, work, family ...etc, I have let most of my friendships go in the sense that I have felt that there will be time later in life to get close again - we are all still friends but have just not made time for each other - now there is no time. Sorry to be a downer. Here is my food for the day as planned:

Breakfast: greek yogurt (missed it actually)

snack: half turkey burger

lunch: half turkey burger, Armstrong cheese stick

snack: greek yogurt

dinner: protein drink

snack: not sure - I have another protein drink packed with me

I will be travelling home for 2.5 hours after visiting my friend in hospital so likely will get a half decaf skinny latte from starbucks for my night snack (120 cals)

referral: early June 2016; surgery Feb 21, 2017

Working till 5pm today and then my son is supposed to have baseball practice from 6pm-8pm so we will see if it actually happens with this rain. Other than that my day is pretty boring! I need to find some other calories in here somewhere. I'm not a snacker at all and my dietitian wants me to add snacks... Not a fan. I'm also not that hungry between meals for the most part. If he has ball, I plan to go up and down the hill that's there during the 2 hours to get some leg work in.

B: Premier and decaf

L: chicken, peppers and onion (fajita stuffing), cheese.

D: 3oz tenderloin, 1/2 potato with cheese and a bit of sour cream and onion

S: Premier protein before baseball

cals 783, protein 106, carbs 35

Dietican wants me eating 950-1100 cals a day but I don't want to go over 950 - I find I gain a lb or 2 when I do... comes back off after I go back to 950.

I was scared to increase my calories too.. when I first transitioned from 600-800 to around 900 I gained 5 pounds in a week and I freaked out, lol. But I stuck with it and continued doing 900 a day and found that my weight went right back down again, and I've been losing amazing well ever since increasing my calories (and carbs!). Maybe my body just needed to adjust. I lost 10 pounds last month when I was only losing around 6-8 eating below 800 cals. I find that eating more cals in a day and getting in LOTS of water really helps the weight loss move faster, imo. I've actually been worried that eating too low calorie for too long will slow down the metabolism, so I've actually been trying my best to hit around 1000 cals each day even if I don't really feel like it. So don't be scared to eat more! That's just my advice anyways... good luck! :)

I have been a slow healer and only moved up to over 700 early july when I stalled. I increased and try to be around 950 daily.

I am comfy at 950 and don't want to increase more.. lol

I find eating over that is too much for me and I feel gross along with the extra lbs.

:)
