Post Op VSG 10 Months
Good morning everyone! I have a bunch of stuff I need to do for work today then a doc's appointment later. Been having a lot of digestive issues lately...so been trying to eat 5 prunes a day for my bedtime snack to keep my colon happy, lol! Naturally that raises my carb count up significantly more than what I usually do but I'm not too concerned about it. I stew them in some water with cinnamon and a touch of lemon juice and top them on my plain greek yogurt with some crushed walnuts... tastes delicious that way!
Today's eats:
B: Chocolate Premier Protein w/ 1tsp instant hazelnut coffee
L: 1 hard boiled egg, 1oz chicken strips, 1 cup spinach, 0.5oz light feta cheese, 10g salad dressing
D: 3oz chicken breast, 2oz cooked beets
S1: 2oz blackberries, 2oz raspberries, 1oz almonds
S2: 3oz plain greek yogurt, 5 stewed pitted prunes, 0.5oz walnuts
Totals: 993 cals, 65g carbs - 21g fiber = 44g net carbs, 87g protein
Good day all.

Working today till sometime soon. Not sure when I'll leave. Hopefully soon. My son has soccer practice tonight at 7pm so I may take him there or my husband will. We will see. I don't mind either way. Not a super busy night thankfully.
At my 6 month follow up my doctor put me on vitamin A pills for 3 months as my levels were low. I have to take a 10,000IU pill daily for those 3 months. It takes horrible because I guess we can't absorb the gel caps so I have to bite it and have the oil inside like that. I've gotten used to it. I had found my eyesight was getting worse than it already was and since taking them it's gone back to normal-ish which makes me happy. Make sure they check your vitamin A (hopefully it's standard!!!)
B: Premier Protein/decaf coffee
L: 1 3/4 meatballs from farm boy and a small ice coffee from tims (hubby brought it)
D: 3 oz tenderloin, 1/2 yellow potato with cheese, small amount of sour cream and onions
S: 1 cake bite (protein "bar")
Cals: 804, protein 78, carbs 45
I may have another premier but that's not in my totals.
