not sure if this is standard or not

I am almost 2 months post-op, and I have really noticed the past 3-4 days or so that my 'full' feeling is in full effect. I get fuller sooner that I was before.

Sometimes in my first month I would still get a hungry feeling, even soon after eating. Now I am getting full, often before I finish what I have put on the plate for my meal or snack. I am very happy to have this feeling, I just know that I need to really concentrate now on ensuring I am getting enough protein. I think that if i've calculated it based on what is on my plate, that my lead to deficiencies as I may not eat it all.

I remember in my classes pre-surgery they mentioned that not everyone gets that 'full' feeling. I'm so glad to be one of the ones that do. This is just the help I need from this tool at this time. I know that it may not last forever, so I'm going to make the most of if while I have it. Happy dance

I have heard of this "full" feeling. I haven't gone through surgery yet, but I do hope I have this feeling. As I am now, I need a large meal to keep me full. I can't stand it!

Congrats to to you on all of your successes during your journey.

I rarely ever feel "full" but I never feel "hungry" truly. Yesterday was a "hungry" day but I think that was head wise. Sometimes if I have very dense protein like chicken I get full. Usually, my throats starts to close and I just know I cannot have another bite. If I eat too much I hiccup. You are lucky. I love the rare times I can feel my restriction. I simply don't want the volume I wanted before.

I had a similar experience however mine wasn't a feeling of being 'full'; it was a feeling of eating way too fast and not chewing enough. Since I've learned to slow and chew slower I experience a different feeling now during my meal, I actually know what it feels like when I've had enough!
