Anyone know Dr Urbach at TWH

For surgery, apparently TWH maintains a cancellation list. So if they have someone cancel surgery, they will call people on their cancellation list to look to fill the spot.

Some people have ended up skipping Opti, but that's rare. Most times ppl have enough notice to still do their Opti course. It's all at the surgeon's discretion.

I've been a long time lurker myself and decided to take the plunge today when I saw your post.

I, too, have my "pre surgery" appt. With Dr. Urbac for August 11th. I had the same question as well and I am super relieved to hear all of the positive comments about all of the surgeons.

Thanks to everyone *****sponded. And I am really looking forward to meeting Dr. Urbach. Things are definitely starting to feel real and I am so lucky to have found this forum.

Like everyone has said, it's not necessarily the same surgeon. However, I can tell you that Dr. Urbach performed my surgery and he was awesome! My family doctor even said that whoever cut my incisions had a "very blessed and skilled hand". So in the event that Dr Urbach is your surgeon, you are in excellent hands!

Crazy how fast things are moving for you! I have called for cancellations but never had the luck you have had!
