Catheter - question- Don't laugh - ok you can!
I did not have a catheter. I'm not sure why some people do and some people don't. Ask your surgeon if he/she plans to if you want to know for sure.
I've never had one, but I asked at my meet the surgeon appointment about it, because I had heard some people get them, and I wanted to be prepared for it, if I was going to have one. He said nope, and I was more than okay with that lol

it is the surgeons choice, but you can obviously advocate for yourself and ask not to have one. After all, Foley catheters are a high source of infection.
It is better in my opinion if you do not have one, something to trip over and will stop you from walking....
