I got a surgery date!
A few weeks ago I was told that I'd have a 6 - 9 month wait, yesterday my surgeon's assistant called me to ask if I would be willing to swap to another surgeon to hopefully shorten my wait a little.
Today she called my back and offered me a cancellation date of July 10th, less than 2 weeks!
My head is spinning, thankfully I'm pretty organised and have everything ready to go. Work knew I was going to be off eventually and had semi prepared themselves, but we had no idea it would be this soon - my direct work colleague retired last week and the new guy is both a junior and very unprepared, but they've said they'll deal with it.
I'm so excited and scared at the same time!

Ensure High Protein is used in Alberta, I stocked up when they were on sale recently so I've already got them at home. I've got an appointment tomorrow with the dietician to go over my pro-op diet ( or what there will be of it) and I'm thinking I'll just get started on them as of tomorrow morning. I've only got 12 days and the surgeon is ok with that.
The pre-op clinic are going to do a phone appointment after the dietician to get all the info they need, as well as another appointment with them on Friday. My head is spinning with the sudden influx of information, dates, times, tests, and locations I need to be at. It's going to be stressy couple of weeks.
