Waiting for my shipment of mj. Hope it does the trick.

I will pop in still. Didn't mean it to sound like a goodbye cruel world post, lol. I make myself post to hopefully show people what you eat many years out. That this is a lifestyle for ever not just until you get to goal. I'm just tired of it for now . I have been irregular the past few months while I work thru my health issues.

Ahh, I always come here first, I just got posting on the RNY thread with AMAW/CAMAW... Life has been bonkers lately between the wedding and my grandparents big move. I read the thread everyday and sometimes cross post. I remember a few people who were regular posters when I first came to OH and they have since left... Things are getting back to normal so I promise I will get back to regular postings :)

Sorry to see you go Birdie. 100% get it and respect your decision. You should be given a medal for staying here as long as you have. Time to take care of you, sit back, relax and let someone else take over (Ginny waving at you!!! ). Hope you are still going to be around and not gone for good. I had sx Nov 2013. I used to read the Ontario board all the time back then, you were "one to watch" as I loved your honestly and commitment to paying it forward.

To be totally frank & honest I only post on the RNY board because I had RNY. I personally don't see it as a US board thing, sure its 99% Americans but I post there as its people who have had the same surgery as me. If I had the VSG I would post on the VSG forums.

I do get where you are coming from though, 100%. There is hardly anyone here on the Ontario board who posts who is around the same time post op as I am (close to 4yrs post op), maybe they read but don't post I really don't know. As for the RNY board, lots of people pretty close to my sx date and it feels more comfortable for me as they post regularly, I personally want the feedback & interaction, but it gets tedious at times, the same old same old, lots of newbies come on and are gung ho and disappear after a few months if they stay that long, I can only imagine how many you have seen over the 8 years being on here. Some days I want to throw in the towel as well, just being honest. But I need OH, I love the accountability.

I wish you the best Birdie, and a huge thank you for everything you have done for OH and supported me even if you didn't know you were supporting me over my almost 4 years post op on here.

May you always have Eagles and holes-in-one on your travels in life.

HUGS,

Daisy

Hi Daisy

Had a long reply but oh ate it.

First, thank you for your kind comments. Everyone should and can post where they want. I commend you on taking care of the Waye thread on the Rny forum.. it's too long for me but I know you have lots of great people who participate.

I will still comment. I'm just tired of posting my food. I've been hit or miss the past few weeks. I eat mostly the same things. I like the Canadian forum for the food selections. Our yogurt and cheese and blue menu products are understood here.

Anyway, I'm embarrassed as I really wasn't trying to make a scene.

I'll be back at it someday I'm sure. Time for a break.

Birdie I would hate to see you go as well. I read this thread faithfully and have always admired your long term success and helpful advice. You remind people that regain happens and if you aren't diligent the weight will come back and it's a lot harder to get off the second time around. Life gets busy and we don't always have time to post but it is nice to hear from you whenever you do have time. You, Tracey and Pat are the only longtimers left that I'm familiar with. I miss Karen and often wonder how she is doing.

Anyway that is just my two cents! You keep it real and I like that.

Thanks Monica. I miss Tracey and Karen too and thankfully Pat kept with it. Karen is ok, heard from her at Christmas.

Now I sound like a drama queen and I didn't mean to. Just figured if most were going to the US forum then I would stop. Just sick of day to day and I need a break

Take care of yourself. I'm ALWAYS working on regain. Lol

Glad Karen is doing well. Miss her as well. She was going to organise a get together. I am sorry it did not happen.

I am also working on some re-gain. Looking at your amazing menu shows we can eat well (sometimes too well) even after WLS.

I rarely go on the US forum. There seems to be a bunch of crazies over there lol. I'm terrified of regain and I am up 5lbs for the first time ever so I'm really focusing on dense protein and low carb. It's coming back off slowly. Good luck with your health issues.

Hope the weather stays nice for your party!

Good morning all. Work today. Tuesday can so frustrating catching up on 2 days of work. Need to order food for a meeting tonight. Must find a closer kosher deli. There used to be so many downtown but not so much anymore.

When I first had WLS I bought a couple of books. They have hardly been opened. I decided to try a Sheppard's Pie recipe. It is basically chili with little sauce with potatoes on it. I will not make again.

b greek yogurt, granola, blueberries

l left over shepperd's pie, kale salad
