It's a brand new day

Well it is a brand new day. I am post op 6 days. And I have to say I feel fantastic. I am still not getting all my protein or water in but I woke up this morning hungry, I ate, and I feel great. No pain, a little gas but nothing to complain about.

I started opti on June 1st and I am down 27 pounds now. This to me is amazing. I can't see the difference but...I went shopping yesterday and walked around for an hour! I did not sweat! I did not have to sit every 5 minutes because my back hurt. I did not want food court food. I FELT IN CONTROL.

I wish I'd done this much earlier. No regrets pure optimism. Perhaps in another 20 pounds I may buy a mirror!

Just wanted to share my joy. I hope everyone is having as good a day as I.

Good for you! 27 lbs is great - you will be checking yourself out in the mirror before you know it! Being in control and making good choices is the best way to achieve your goals. Keep working on getting your water and protein in! Sneak the protein powder into everything - oatmeal, soups, add it anywhere you can! Make each bite and sip count. You got this!!

Yay, Lisa; so happy for you! 27 Lbs is awesome! So is walking in the mall for an hour; at one week post op I was in so much pain I could only manage short jaunts down the hallway. Wow; you're rocking this!

Wow! You are doing well in your weight loss and recovery. Couldn't have imagined walking around for an hour six days after surgery.

I struggled with getting in all my protein and water in the beginning too, I think its normal for the most part, but focus more on getting your fluids in.

Keep up the good work!

I am getting in 3 cups of water a day, and 30-40 grams of protein a day. I have been only having 1/4 cup servings of broth, jello and cottage cheese with sprinkles of protein powder. I know this is not enough but is this below the line of acceptable? It has been like this for a week as of tomorrow.
