Day 2
Basically feeling no pain... i am taking the tylenol but that is it. I will be heading off to bed soon but this is my intake for the day;
5oz lactose-free 1% milk
3oz Liberte lactose-free greek yogurt 0%
1/4 of a Premier Protein shake
2 Celebrate vitamins
1/4c homemade applesauce
8oz ice water with some crystal light
my usual meds.
Is this good? I know I am nowhere near the protein intake i need but I feel like it is a good start given the cir****tances. Any and all input is welcome.

I would try and increase liquids. You dont want to get dehydrated. Make sure you add unflavoured protein powder where you can. I did to my apple sauce and added cinnamon to mask the flavour. It thickened it really but hey you do what you gotta do!! Its tough youre two days out. Youll find your groove but liquids at this point are SUPER important

You may want to look into other options for protein then. Try a powder - you can mix most with water or milk with many different flavours

I drank my first full Premier Protein shake this morning...took a little more than an hour but I did it!
Only need two a day because I add yogurt and milk during the rest of the day. So happy at how issues seen to resolve themselves in quick fashion.

I just drank premier protein shakes, 2 a day, after surgery because I couldn't get my protein in otherwise. I like that it counted toward liquids. I also drank water, and sometimes broth (which I was told could count as a liquid). It took me quite a while before i could add yogurt or anything, but that was just me.
My surgeon said it was super important to get the protein and liquids in because protein helps our bodies heal, and liquids prevent dehydration.
If you're not already using it, myfitnesspal is a great free app to track your protein and liquids.
Good luck; you've got this.
