What are you eating/doing Tuesday?
Post Op 13+ mons
Good morning everyone! Who's ready for some sunshine, like come on Mother Nature, wake up!!
Been to the gym already but did more weights than cardio so I will have to "step" up my game throughout the day to get the numbers up! I'll do my 5 kms at lunch and then take the dogs for a walk tonight, weather permitting.
Day 2 of the meat challenge for me so....
B - 3.9 oz pemeal bacon
S - pot roast
L - 2 beef meatballs with 2.75 oz chicken boob
S - deli turkey with mustard
D - bacon wrapped sirloin
Total Cal 758, Protein 107, carbs 7
Good morning Ginny and all to post,
I look at your exercise and although I was getting back to 5 km. a day, am still wiped from my ordeal last week. Not much of an appetite but I'm getting all of my fluids in. Explain the meat challenge when you have a minute (lol).
B - protein shake and decaf black coffee
L - left over chicken, vegetables and 2 tbsp. of rice (trying not to do any grains)
D - chicken stirfry - no rice
S - Skyr and applesauce
Calories: 605, only 48 grams of protein, 36 carbs. All water, vitamins and antibiotics.
Enjoy your day. The next three here in Orillia are supposed to be sunny and low 20's.

Hi Linda! It's important that you get all your fluid in, especially with recovering from last weeks issues! I would try and add another protein shake in there if you aren't really enjoying food at the moment. 48 is pretty low for protein.
The meat challenge is that you eat nothing but meat for 5 days. It is designed to help those that have let carbs creep into their diet kick them to curb. Back to basics! Quite often it jump starts the scale as well. Dense protein fills you up and keeps you satisfied longer so should also help lower the calories for the week. Check out the RNY board, there is a separate menu thread this week for AMAW / CAMAW participants. CAMAW is Critters and Meat all Week. This allows you to have yogurt, cheese, and cream in your coffee, basically anything that comes from a critter.
Take it easy!
As per Ginny's suggestion (thank you), added half a cup of cottage cheese and 1/4 protein bar. Protein now at 68 grams, carbs: 47, calories: 767.
I always appreciate suggestions; that's why I post here and it keeps me accountable while I'm learning.

Sounds good about the All meat all week! I need to do that sometime! I feel like I have let some carbs back in my life and the scales stopped for now 3 weeks. Grrr.

Hi Ginnny and All!
Today is my last day of this part of my life. I have my "birthday" tomorrow! Bag is packed, everything is ready, except perhaps my family. Today is getting the floors swept and mopped, spending time with my friends and family. Tonight I am getting a pre-surg blessing and I am hoping to sleep well before I have to leave in the morning. Wishful thinking on my part but hey, why not?
Opti all day for the LAST TIME!

Good morning Ginny. Nice menu and yes we need some sun.
I usually eat the same yogurt all the time. I always but 0% with no fruit or other additives. I was in Loblaws and decided to try a couple that were on sale. The SKYR was great, would buy again. However the Skotidakis I am finding really bitter. I will not be buying that again.
Out to a meeting tonight
b greek yogurt, raspberries, granola
l chicken with mustard sauce and leeks, yogurt
s celery, laughing cow
d cod, cabbage salad
