I have had the worst day. Tons of pain, nausea and gas. Tried various medical mixtures to feel better.

Uggg, really hoping tomorrow is better

Sorry to hear that. I remember rocking on all fours on the ground trying to get the gas out. It will get better. Try a warm compress on your belly. The nurses brought me lots of. Ice warm towels that helped.

Believe it or not you will be over the jump and feeling rather normal soon! I couldn't believe it myself how I went from pain to fine in no time. I have an office job and actually went back to work a week and a half post op. I was lucky...I didn't feel any exhaustion or weakness....all felt oddly normal.

I'm 7 weeks post op now and feeling great!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and that you are feeling well soon!

It definitely gets better!!! I'm 8 days out so my memory of day 2 is very fresh in my mind. It is a process. I would definitely suggest trying to get walking a lot. That is the only thing that helped me get rid of the pain/discomfort. Nausea will fade as you progress. If you're still in the hospital, let them know and maybe they can give you some more meds to treat it.

I am almost 3 weeks out and I remember day 2 being AWFUL and Day 3 wasn't the best either. But Day 4 and onwards was so much better!

Everyone, thanks so much for the support.

It truly does help.

i'm home now which is great at hospital can get loud at night plus I'm much happier with my family and I think they're happier with me too ?

My energy level is pretty low but I'm OK with that just trying to rest a lot walk when I can get my fluids in.

Good luck to those going for surgery this week at TWH and elsewhere. I can only speak of TWH and they're all amazing from start to finish you will not be disappointed in your treatment.

It is nice to be home and you will be able to rest more comfortably home where its quieter for you. Just lay low and let your body tell you what its up to - don't push yourself too soon. Try and get up and walk as much as you comfortably can as I found that really helped me feel better. Best of luck! Hope you get feeling better soon

I'm over 4 months out but so remember the pain. Hang in; every day will get a bit better and one day you'll be overjoyed to find it's gone. Try to do things to distract yourself. I read and binge watched Supernatural on Netflix.

Darn.... I am sorry to hear you are doing feeling great.

I did very well post op & managed to pass gas okay. I took the Tylenol every (4) hours no matter what... I recommend laying on your left side trying to pass gas.

I was very active & did a lot of walking....

As the weight melts off, you will look back at this post op experience and think that it was all worth it!

Feel better soon & Good luck !
