Ottawa peeps here?
I had my DS in 2008 and have been away from the forums for quite a bit!!
For YEARS I kept the weight off (was actually 120 lbs at my lowest), but over the last 2.5 years I've slowly gained and need to drop about 25 lbs.
So are there any Ottawa postop peeps around?

I am not post-op but I am curious, I wasn't aware that Ottawa does DS. Did you get to choose DS?

I had my DS in 2008 with Dr. Marek Lutrzykowski in Michigan.
I applied for the DS, was approved and had my surgery in less than 4 months. Those were crazy times with OHIP approving many OOC WLS.

Not meaning to sound preachy but you should educate yourself about all the WLS options out there before going through with surgery...think twice, cut once.

I did look it up right after I posted. This is not offered in Ottawa anymore so I had never heard of it. I knew going in what I wanted, I did WLS research for two years before I got into Orientation. But I only studied the options offered here. Hope all is well with you. Welcome back.

Nice to see you Kim. I agree with Barb, low carb, high protein is about the only thing that works to get off regain. Hope all is well with you. No idea if they still have Ottawa support groups or not as have not seen one posted in years on here but then again many have moved over to FB groups.
