MOODS
So after 9 days on Opti I am wondering if this tired, cranky, moodiness is going to pass. I feel really bad for my family mostly. And today in particular I am not feeling well at all. Maybe it is because I slept poorly, up and out early, bloodwork etc. I actually feel really blah. Thoughts?

It will pass; hang in there.
You're body is adapting to a lot fewer calories, and your brain is probably missing the old comfort foods, so it's sort of like going through withdrawal, I think...at least, it was for me.
I tried to visualize my future self, weighing less, feeling better, dropping sizes, and that helped. Later on, when you're post op, Opti will just seem like a distant memory.

Thanks Kathy! I am feeling better today. I am making every effort to keep my mind focused on the goal. Everything worth achieving requires work... I have to remember to keep my head down and do what I need to do.
I am so thankful I found this forum... I have been finding great inspiration, support and understanding. Exactly what I need

It's going to be different for everybody. Moodiness wasn't much of an issue for me during Optifast but post op I've noticed a change in my mood and my level of patience. Sometimes I know I'm over reacting but in the moment I have no use for logic. Just something to be aware of, try to control and apologize for when necessary. So many changes happen so fast that it's a lot to process... for us and those in our lives.
