Optifast weight gain?
So i weighed myself yesterday morning to see how things were going and I was at 255... This morning is the weight that I am putting in my journaling because it is day 8 of Optifast... I weigh 259. How?

Thanks Patm... I am doing all that I am supposed to do - it must just be retention - not having bm issues and don't have periods anymore (hysterectomy 2014). It was just scary to see a higher number, you know?

Good morning!
I have to agree with Pamt...
Water retention, PMS...
If you are following the rules?
I would time the shakes @ 8am, noon, 4 pm & 8 pm... Exactly every 4 hours
Increase your water intake to at least 2-3 litres daily... Don't get too caught up in the scale....
You will see accumulative weight loss when you have completed the Opti Program...
The BEST weight loss is yet to come....
Good luck

IN THE END WE ONLY REGRET CHANCES WE DIDN'T TAKE.
It must be water retention.
I have my shakes at 9, 1, 5 and 9.
I am drinking anywhere from 64oz - 140oz over and above the shakes.
I am using my metamucil daily.
Totally following the rules... I have OCD and do not do well without a strict schedule.
Thank you!

Oh man that must be so frustrating! Just stick with it. Your body is perhaps in shock. It will catch up.
