So... started Opti on Wed May 17.... Since Thursday I wake up from nightmares where I am just doing normal things and the next thing I know I am EATING when I am supposed to be on this portion of the journey. Has anyone else had dreams/nightmares like this? I feel silly when I awake for being upset over eating in a dream but I can't help it.

I'll put my hand up for this one. I woke up on many occasions upset that I had screwed up only to realize it was a dream. I had similar dreams post op, I would dream about eating something (sometimes not even things I like) before I was supposed to be back to solids. For the record I didn't cheat during either of those times and things have been going really well but our brains can be strange lol.

Good Luck with everything!!

It sounds like this post should be called nightmares!!!

In haven't had any, but I have barely started my journey, so haven't changed anything. Good to have some forwarning this can happen. It sounds awful. Good luck all.

I'm 4 months out this Wednesday and still have the food dreams, but in my dreams I avoid the yummy foods and then when I wake up I get mad at myself for not eating them because they wouldn't have counted, being as they were just dreams, lol.

oddly, I don't remember having any eating dreams from right before or post-surgery, but I still occasionally have smoking dreams - and I quit smoking in 2004! I think addictions are such a huge part of your identity that their memories stay in your brain for a long, long time....
