Question for the Ottawa gang!

Hello all! Just wanted to check in and ask the all too familiar timeline question!

i have been given the green light by the Nutritionist and Behaviourist, Pre-surgery class was May 15 and had my scope on Friday, also all clear. I meet Dr. Neville on May 29th. How soon after meeting the surgeon did you have your surgery?

I'm pretty excited and am so happy with how things are moving along. And the staff at the WMC have been so great! I hope the experience continues to be this positive!

Dr Neville is doing my RNY on June 7. :)

I was told 6 - 8 weeks from the surgical consult.

I was booked in at 4 weeks. I bought my OptiFAST the day of the consult so that when I was called the next week to book I was able to start immediately.

Stephi you have moved really quickly. I had my orientation In January and my appointments with the Nut and Behaviourist are not until June. Best of luck.

Sandy and I will be in the area on the weekend of June 18th 19 and prob heading home on the 20th. I have training near Montreal on the 16th and 17th and will likely visit a friend in Gatineau on the Sunday. My friend (Sylvain) introduce me to the strom back in 1993. I got my first strom in 06 and I think it was later in 06 or in 07 that I went to visit him and I think we did the exact route you posted (I'll have to look at it more closely on a computer.).

I met her in mid November and could've had my surgery mid December (as they don't have many people usually wanting surgery just before Xmas) but opted to get mine after the holidays. I was called early January and got my surgery Jan. 31st. So I would say between 4 to 8 weeks. It all depends on how busy they are at this time of year.
