Revision in Ontario
Hi Everyone!!! I was just wondering if anyone else was looking at getting a revision in Ontario? If so, how is your process doing? Feel free to add me if you want to chat more about it. I need to update my page because I sure don't look like the pictures on my profile anymore. I originally lost 240lbs in 9 months and gained most back, hence why I am here again.

Hi Nicole, I am not familiar with the revision process here in Ontario. The one thing I could suggest is start tracking your food on My Fitness Pal and join us on the What Are You Eating/Doing today thread. It will help to get your head back in the game.
I assume that the revision process if you are approved would be just as lengthy as a non-revision person getting an RNY. Why not start now to make the changes and let us be there for support.

Yeah I was doing the low carb, and only taking in 10 carbs a day if that. No more soda, only drinking water. I only managed to lose 18lbs in the few months I was doing that. I switched to low calorie because I missed eating fruit and I am not a very big meat eater. I'll definitely look up your thread. Thanks again!!

I know a few who had revision. It will be the same process but you can expect more hoops. They will start with "use your tool" typically and will expect changes prior too. I know a few who have gone for revision and some who dropped out too.
Good of luck to you.

It is having another gastric surgery. I will be a revision from Lapband to either RNY or sleeve. Sometimes revision are because of complications with the previous surgery and others are due to significant weight regain.

Hi,
I am just starting to look into a revision. I had my RNY done 10 yrs ago in the states because wait times were to long here at the time. I did better than the Dr's thought I would but, over the yrs my mom was diagnosed with leukemia and worrying about her I let my food demons take over and win. I am so disgusted and disappointed with myself. I have tried going back to basics with no luck. I am now in the qualifying stage again with the weight I have gained back.
