Ugh. Blood work.

I just got my bloodwork done last week for my first upcoming appointment with the nurse practitioner. I'm super excited about the appointment; on my way! But also really disappointed by my blood work. My glucose fasting is elevated for the first time, and my A1C is elevated too. I think they are technically into the diabetic stage.

Ugh. That really bums me out. I guess this is the perfect time to get the surgery, but I was hoping to do this before i got to that stage. Now it'll be remission, not avoiding.

Hoping more than ever I can speed this along!

I have nurse May 24, Social worker in mid June, and then nutrition class June 19.

What are the next things that happen through TWH?

you will also have a nutritionist one on one appt... as well as a psych appt.... then after that it's the surgeon appt :)

Wow ..its going fast..thats awesome!! How did your orientation go? Im hoping to catch up soon lol Counting down the days til my orientation and calling to see if i get any luck with any cancellations. So all those appointments were booked with your orientation? That was today right? So excited for you!

I had my orientation last week; Wednesday. They handed out our first three appointments at the end. My appointments were scheduled for August and September, but I called on Thursday morning to see if I could get any cancellations and got the May and June dates. I've already done all my paperwork and blood tests (hence this post - ugh).

So yeah, calling for cancellations is amazing! The lady I spoke with was at my orientation the night before and was so lovely and happy to help. I get the feeling from everyone I've spoken with they really do want to support us.

When is your orientation?

June 15thhh Im going crazy waiting..lol so far no cancellations. Im happy for you ...its exciting. Hopefully I will get.lucky with future appointments. Theres an orientation this Thurs so fingers maybe a spot will pop up lol
