How long is the hospital stay? I want as long as possible! Are there private rooms!

Thanks for all the info/suggestions regarding HRH. That is the centre I was referred to and since it's new-ish I haven't heard much feedback about it.

My orientation was August '16. I have my first MD appointment in June, followed by the trio of RD/RN/SW in mid-July. I honestly had wondered if they'd lost my info....so long (10 months!!!) since my orientation session. Wonder if things are going to move quickly from here on in? Hmm...

I am in Hamilton so it is a little different but typically the long waits are from referral to orientation and from orientation to your first meeting. Once you hit the meetings you will find things fly by. I have noticed that each centre has one discipline that is backlogged (Hamilton is dietician right now) so there might be one appointment you have to wait for but the rest should be good. Our nurse said 6 months from that meeting but when you consider you an have 4 or more meetings before surgery the process does at least keep moving forward so you have a relatively short wait for your next appointment to be excited or nervous for.

Remember that we (general statement I am sorry if it does not apply to everyone) did not get this size in 6 months or even 18 months.

i was revision to RNY. I had a mandatory 2 nights though i asked to be release after one...was told no

I would have been ok if I'd had a private room but the clinic i was at didn't have any. I was severely sleep deprived after 2 nights with a terrible snorer. the plus side is that i recovered quickly because i was up all night walking because i couldn't sleep. the downside is that i seriously would have paid 5k cash for my own room after the first night of sleep deprivation that was worse than the recovery.
