Afraid to weigh myself! Anyone else? Advice?
I charted everything so I could see and anticipate patterns. I also found a friend on here who lost at a reasonable rate and monitored her drops (to help anticipate where things will slow/stall).
then I decided to have a sense of humour about the neurosis we all have about the scale. I find it helps me.

I weigh everyday to hold myself accountable. I also log my weight daily even if it remains the same. This way, I am able to monitor "stalls". In the past, I was able to review my meal plan and know what made me gain a couple pounds and what helped me lose a couple pounds.
At 11 days post-op, you CANNOT fail if you follow your plan. I would like to suggest that you start weighing yourself and keeping a log. It will help when you are 4, 5,6 months out and you hit a stall and need reference points. Don't miss this opportunity to gather valuable information about your eating habits and weight.
I am a slow loser and did not compare myself to others. I was my only competition in that I enjoyed buying smaller clothes. I must say, this is my second time around (VSG to RNY) and I have never been disappointed!
My lowest weight was 164 lbs; my goal is 150 lbs and is subject to change based on what I think of my body, how easy will it be to maintain 150 lbs and finally, does it make me happy!
Trust the process and stay on plan. You will be just fine.
