Im superrr excited surgery is on monday.. At TWH
A bit concerned because i have not lost much on opti fast... Stuck at 8.5lbs lost in 10 days.. Frustating... I hope my surgery is not cancelled because of it.
Im doing everything right.. 4 optis per day and lots of water... I did not do much walking because i got a bad cold and the weather is not helping..
Any thoughts or suggestions??

no advice, as I am pre-op, just wanted to wish you the best.
I don't think that how much you lose on opti matters, just that you took it.

Hello!
Just wanted to wish you all the best with your pending surgery, won't be long now huh!!
You expressed concern at being stuck at 8.5 lbs in 10 days of Optifast. Something to think about..... When in your lifetime have you ever lost almost a pound a day? You LOST 8.5 pound!! Reach around and give yourself a long pat on the back. You should be proud not frustrated.
Each of us are different people. We burn calories at a totally different rate. As long as you followed the rules set forth by your weight management centre you'll be fine
In a few days you will start the next chapter of your life.... It's an amazing ride, see you on the bench!!

Listen to Happypants and give yourself a break. Nothing will be cancelled and you will go ahead with a surgery that will be your next step towards better health. You will do well. Keep the excitement and leave the doubts behind. I wish you all the best and look forward to an update when you're up to it.

From what Ive read you aren't on opti to lose a lot of weight but to shrink your liver size to be safe for surgery =)
That is awesome 8.5 lbs in 10 days that is super awesome. Certain bodies re act differently some people may lose 20 some 2 some 8.5 a loss is a loss which is AWESOME!
I wasn't even weighed on the morning of surgery!!! I was annoyed with that since I lost a lot and wanted the validation. They didn't even ask me if I stuck to the diet or anything. I was really surprised. Don't stress about it, that loss sounds great to me!
