i was referred in may 2015 had my orientation in november 2015 and had surgery dec 2016

TWH: Referral May 2015 --> Orientation November 2015 --> Surgeon at TWH Nov 2016 --> Transferred to Guelph --> Surgeon Appt Dec 1 2016 --> Opti Start Dec 8 2016 --> Surgery Dec 22 2016 HW: 331 SW:302 GW: 170

Hello and welcome,

I was referred at the end of February and told it would be a few months. TWH sent me a letter for Orientation at the end of April, but it went to another customer with the same name. I got a phone call saying I missed my appointment (ugh!), and got rescheduled for June 26th. My neighbour delivered the notification letter a week after my appointment (ugh, again!).

I found TWH's timeline roughly 8 weeks - much quicker than either my doctor or I expected.

Orientation: June 29th, 2016, Surgery March 22, 2017. Pre-surgery: 16 lbs, (Size 2x, 18/20), M1: 19 lbs. (Size 1x, 16/18), M2: 13 lbs. (Size 16, XL) M3: 10 lbs. (Size 14/16, large). M4: 6 lbs. (Size 14, large/medium). M5: 10 lbs. (Size 14, solid medium - lol), M6: 9 lbs. (Size 12, medium). M7: 8 lbs. (Size 10/12 and small/medium). M8: 7 lbs. (Size 10 and small/medium). M9: 2 lbs. (Size 8/10 - small/medium). Lost 100 lbs by Month 9! M10: 5 lbs. M11: 4 lbs. One year: 6 lbs. Total 111 lbs. lost!

Oh wow... that's crazy about the two letters getting mis-delivered. Glad the overall timeline was quicker for you than expected. :)

My doctor referred me via online referral on March 11th. I got a letter and questionnaire mailed to me approximately 2 weeks ago which said my orientation is May 17th.

I called yesterday to find out if my orientation date has been set, but it hasn't. Earliest will be June 14 at this point. Fingers crossed Inget into that one!

Hello alishaaxo, at the orientation they give you lots of great information, but I've learned far more from being on this website and reading about others experiences - which helps me feel a little less alone in this process. You are well on your way! good luck to you.
