how many days in Hospital?

Sorry if this has been asked, but how many days are typical in Hospital after surgery?

I am going to Michael Garron (Toronto East) if that makes any difference. I am assuming this stay also depends on how well the surgery goes, and given there is no complications, but is there a general idea?

Hi I was released on day 3. Surgery Monday, home on Wednesday. No complications.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Here in Ottawa it's an overnight stay only for Locals unless complications. In, sleep, Out

For folks that live more than 3-4 hours away, they stay 2 nights. The second day is a precaution in case something pops up.

Thinking is Locals can get to emerg quick while obviously Out of Town folks cannot.

Think typically it's 2 days now... I know Toronto Western is 2... but they did tell me that if I was good after the 1 they would let me go early... I believe Michael Garron should be the same 2 days

i stayed in guelph for two nights.. surgery went well and there were no complications afterwards

TWH: Referral May 2015 --> Orientation November 2015 --> Surgeon at TWH Nov 2016 --> Transferred to Guelph --> Surgeon Appt Dec 1 2016 --> Opti Start Dec 8 2016 --> Surgery Dec 22 2016 HW: 331 SW:302 GW: 170

I was at TWH and it was 2 nights ... had a great experience there, no complications. Make sure you get up and walk and drink. All the best.
