Any Suggestions for Hospital Stay bag?
Yay! I hope you'll get to use them. I was surprised that I wasn't allowed because so many others on here were able to use them.
Good luck!

I hardly used anything I packed. I wore the same clothes home that I went with. I wore their gowns - easy with the IV; I brought slippers but they gave me non slip socks that I used instead; I only used my phone, toothbrush, toothpaste and change of undies ... I had books and all that but too tired to concentrate on anything - I walked a lot - the gas pain is horrendous ... worst part of it in my humble opinion -- you will be on the other side before you know it .... good luck!

I did pack PJ's but never used them. The gowns worked fine for me, and they give you fresh gowns every day.
I packed clothes to go home in. Toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, slippers, deodorant. I brought my MP3 and I think that's it. Oh, I brought wipes, so I could freshen up a bit since can't have showers on day 2, and probably going home on day 3.
I was given plastic cups. Small medicine cups, and plastic cup that help around 100ml. Got the odd styrofoam, but you can stick to the smaller cups they give you.
They will also give you face clothes to freshen up too. At least that was my experience in Guelph.
Good luck!

Ah-ha I found a link that answers this question:

I will still take my own pillow, it is spring and there are potholes - Walmart has them for about 3$, i won't use it for anything but car rides and then throw it out.
I may also add the biotine spray to moisturizer my mouth and take the gas x strips.
Surgery: RNY April 12/2017 - Humber River Hospital
Current Weight: 225 lbs
on 3/22/17 2:11 pm
I brought way too much stuff and barely touched any of it. The only things I used were my phone, chapstick, breath spray, pants to go under the gown and slipper/socks that I got from the Dollar Store. The socks never left my feet and I found it made it easier for me to be up and walking a lot. The socks also never left the hospital cause...yuck.

I had surgery almost exactly 4 months ago and remember asking what to pack.. What I used was:
My phone. I did listen to audio books. (I had brought my kobo but too tired to read) and play some games. Was also good to text people who wanted to know how I was doing.
Lip stuff, like chap stick. I felt really dry. Someone on here suggested it. It was great.
Ear plugs. I hate ear plugs but they were helpful. Particularly when the guy in the next room (not a bariatric patient) coded.
I had my own pillow and blanket. But I am the sort of person who takes my own pillow pretty much anywhere I am going to sleep.
Tooth brush and paste (nuff said)
I wasn't given Styrofoam cups FWIW. Only plastic or paper.

There are various places. But one of the easiest is your local library. If you have a membership most have a place online where you can download them (you might need the 'overdrive' app on your phone or tablet. Which ever you plan to listen on).
