WHAT I HAVE LEARNED ON OPTI

I have never experienced one, truly. It's probably because my back end is not working at all. It appears what is going in, never comes out. When I read the post about the husband going through the cupboards looking for a dead mouse, I couldn't stop laughing. I bet if Dave Letterman was still on the air we could come up with the Top Ten Reasons Why You Should (or should not) Take Opti.

I agree with all the info you listed, especially the craving for pickles because I craved salt, and I made it thru the 12 week program, even on vacation.

Flavoring it up helped, (banana, coconut, and rum favoring in a vanilla shake blended with ice was a mock pina colada!!....orange flavoring in chocolate tasted like a telly's chocolate orange, and peppermint in the chocolate shake tasted like a laura secord french mint bar....and theres also Chrystal Lite and Mio) keeping it more watery and icy and drinking 500ml of H2o between each shake got me thru. I can barely finish the 4th shake at night!...now that I have reached ketosis (aka poopy breath)

Its temporary. But its worth it..

Great post and thanks for sharing. I'm on Day 9 of 14 and it has definitely has gotten easier. No more fog, no constipation, no more headaches and yes, my internal clock is now set to every 4 hours. Good luck with your surgery!

And yes, props to those who are on the Opti program for a month or more.

Not long for either one of us. I hope to send you a note when I get home before you go in. I wish you few gas pains and all the best.
