What are you doing/eating today (Saturday)
Good morning everyone. Sunny out there today but still very cold. I wish I could have stayed longer in the sunny south.
Not much on the go today. Saturday is usually my rest day from workouts, so I will do things around the house, more paperwork, and chill in front of the TV with DH tonight. I may try to talk him into making a nice fire.
The eats today 2.5 years post-op are:
Rivers of decaf, with SF Coffeemate
Scrambled eggs with 2 slices of bacon and some fresh salsa
Salad with shrimp on top and Bolthouse Cilantro/Avocado dressing
Salad with steak on top and the same dressing (Thank you for the craving Birdie)
SKYR yogurt with all the fixin's
Have a great day everyone, and make good choices.

Hi CC and everyone! Coming at you from sunny Puerta Vallarta! Weather is awesome 28 - 30 degrees! I think we are going in to town today and check out the market. Been trying to stay on track with the eats but find myself snacking around the pool because I don't want to leave sunshine long enough to go for proper lunch. I did bring some bacon jerky so I've been munching on that but also Bits and Bites. I've been here for three days and haven't gone through the bag so just a couple handfuls at a time, and you know "every handful is different".
Anyway just a quick hello, remember to spring forward tonight! (Although we don't in PV).
OK Ginny I am so jealous of that warmth and sun. It was -10 last night here.
Back away from the Bits and Bits girl. If they have a buffet go for some awesome protein choices. I have watched you work too hard to get the scale down to see you come back from vacation up a few. Have fun, and enjoy the pool.

Off to Costco today to pick up some more shrimp and tilapia loins...not sure what to put in the what I'm eating part yet. I'm back to liquids/soft because I broke a tooth this week and they couldn't salvage it, so it had to be pulled...:( I sure did not miss this stage.
in other news I figured out I can't swallow capsules...they get stuck. So having to open my antibiotics and just swallow the powder :(
for starters though...I ninja'd my overnight oats...
b-overnight oats
s-premier protein
l-chili

That's funny that you Ninja's your oatmeal. In the beginning gelcaps would get stuck if I didn't take them with hot fluid like coffee. I just got a Costco membership so I might have to check out these tilapia loins. Shrimp is a no brainer for me, I can eat them in so many things and with so many different flavours. Great protein source that doesn't give me any issues.

I bought some of those large shrimp with a Mexican spice at Puseteri's. Very expensive, but I am so worth it ;)
My thoughts are it's not about the quantity anymore, more about the quality. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Morning
My day began with a very early morning phone call so I have been on the go since. 3 this morning. Hoping to catch 40 winks right now
Early B - egg mcmuffin
Later - coffee
L - jumbo prawns
Rest of day is up in the air. I might be up to no good eating wise. Not terrible but something I can pick up as I won't be cooking. Groceries arriving tomorrow morning and I plan on making chili. I can eat that for several days.
All water and vits. I never miss this.
Have a great one
You just reminded me to take my vitamins, thanks. Hope you get a nice nap this afternoon.

Good afternoon everyone,
I'm still sick, I'm on antibiotics, liquid form lol, the doctor thought it was best, though I've been doing ok with food I still have an issue when swallowing pills, they seem to sit like rocks in my sleeve.
Almost 14 weeks post op, I'm down 80 lbs including pre op liquid diet, The scale hasn't moved in 10 days, I am not beating myself up over it, I know I'm sticking to my plan to a tee. During my 3 month follow up the doctor said to not focus on the scale and that a stall is most likely your body building muscle, and I've heard that a lot here as well. With that said
Ive been in training mode for my 10k and I'm stoked about it, I've bumped my walking up to 5k a day.
My menu today
b - 1 egg omelette with light cheddar cheese and 1/4 cup steamed broccoli
s - turkey pepperoni
l- 1/2 can tuna with light mayo and diced pickle
s - 1/2 cup cottage cheese
d - 2 oz chicken with Brussels sprouts
s - 1/2 can tuna with light mayo with diced pickle
Hope everyone has a great weekend
