Working out!

I am 18days post op and I was wondering when can I start working out? Is it to soon still? I walk a lot but I want to start at a gym!

Orientation Feb, 1,2016

Meet Dr.Bohjani Jan.18,2017- 286lbs

Started optifast Jan.26,2017

Surgery date Feb,13,2017- 268lbs

Its too soon. 6-8 weeks before you can lift anything greater than 10lbs I believe.

You might feel great on the outside but your insides are still healing. I would stick with the walking and check with your clinic about progressing to the next level of exercise. Just my opinion.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

I was told the same Ginny. 6 weeks, nothing over 10lbs. Walk to your hearts content.

I was only cleared to play volleyball at 6 weeks and my doctor said no jumping or diving for the ball. I broke the jumping rule twice but I felt ok.

RNY Jan 16/17 Surgery @ St. Mikes with Dr. Rotstein. Pre-Surgery -20lbs & Optifast -15lbs. Year 1 Loss after RNY: 131lbs

Wow i hope i feel as great as you 18 days outs! I can't even imagine working out right now i'm on day 3.
