Newbie

New to this site; although, have been on it many times before. I had my scope today and have completed all other preop appointments and classes. Just waiting for consent appointment and will find out if I need Optifast. Can anyone from experience tell me what to expect timeline wise from this point. Also, are there any Hamilton support groups? Thanks

I can't comment on wait times either as I didn't go through Hamilton. There is a support group that meets in Burlington that covers the surrounding area. They meet at Fortinos by IKea this Saturday actually from 9:30 to 11:30 in the community room. They post the meeting on this site.

The meeting is not at the Fortinos by IKEA...it's at the one on the corner of Dundas and Appleby line

Oh yeah opps I just read my email again....last meeting Doug and I were at was by Ikea. Sorry but thanks for correcting me as I would have drove to the wrong Fortinos lol

Hey..,I went through Hamilton as well. Back a while ago they had a support group they ran out of the clinic ..at night. ( I know people hated having to pay for parking) Not sure if they still do...you can call and check. I always suggest the Burlington group that I'm part of. They are actually meeting tomorrow......the info was posted on here a few days ago.

When my scope results came in, I had the surgeon appt ...at that time my surgery was booked....I believe it was about 3wks from that appt day. I just had 1wk of Opti.that I picked up the same day, you are VERY CLOSE

Great news, thanks for the responses. Yes I believe Hamilton does have the support group, but parking is a pain. I'll have to check the Burlington group ?
