Orientation at TWH but surgery at TEGH?

I'm in East Toronto so I imagine I'll be referred to the Toronto Western Hospital Centre but have surgery at Toronto East General.  Anyone have this experience? Now that I have made the decision and have been referred,  I find I am impatient to get my referral letter although I know it can take up to 3 months. 

Congratulations you are one step closer.  It's normal to be in a hurry but use this time to deal with all the heads issues that are the reason we eat. It will help you reach goal and stay there.  Keep us posted on how you are doing!

I was told that TWH does all their own surgeries now, they are no longer sending them elsewhere.

Yes, but TEG doesn't have all the supportive services, just surgery, so one would still have to go to another place that does have those facilities for those services. TWH would be the closest for me. 

From what I have heard on different forums, the only surgeries I have seen booked at TEGH have been for the northern assessment centres.

I hope so as it would be handy to have it all done in one place!

I live in Durham region (east of Toronto) and I have had everything thus far through TWH and have been told that my surgery will be there as well. If you have the option to do it all in one place I would suggest that and HIGHLY recommend TWH as the staff there are fantastic. (now, I haven't had surgery, but all my appts so far have been great).
