When to take your bandages off!

I was told 3 days, 5 days and 7 days by the seamless MD app some of us have.

I took mine off during a shower on day 5, The incisions are small for the most part and heal fairly quickly.

It's the muscle tissue underneath we really need to be careful of hence the warnings about no lifting more than 10 lbs for 6 weeks.

Thanks Wayne, I fixed and the cut looks great! And I think I over did it today! I have to slow down!Thanks for the info!

You can take dressings off but leave steri strips. As you shower they will slowly lift off. By day 7 you can take off

I had staples, not steri-strips so I took my bandages off for my first shower at home. I put a bandaid on my top incision to protect it from rubbing on my bra. My puppy jumped on my tummy and opened up the big incision which then got infected. After that I put a bandaid on that one until it healed more.

I didn't have Tegaderm (the clear bandage) just steri strips and those came off at about 10 days.
