Hello

I am going through the process in Hamilton as well. I am curious along with you. I was referred at the beginning of September. Had orientation in November and just got the appointment for nutrition class for March 31.

That's actually pretty fast. Sure it's about 6 months. But you getting the call pretty far ahead of time is awesome!!!

at the orientation they say the average is 1 year.  Everyone varies depending on how many appointments they need.  some people need a sleep study etc.  good luck it's an exciting time!

So exciting for you. Do you recall when your orentation was? Did you call for cancellations, or just go with the flow?

I wss referred over a year ago. Nov 2015 had my 1st orientation Feb2016. My nutrition class was last october. I had my 1st appt with my nurses january 17 and saw the internal medicine, dr Teboni january 25. Social worker booked for Feb 14 abd dietician March 22. So far i have all my testing done as my family doctor was very proactive and did u/s and colonoscopy and endoscopy ahead of time. The lovely lady who runs the bookings says the dieticians are the most booked. That is my journey so far. From what i undersysnd after the dietician i will then get an appt with the surgeon, but that gets booked by the surgery booking people.

When i went for.my nutrition orientation theu did say they are doing that part earlier and then you wait again for appts

.from what i understand it can be quite different for everyone

Good luck!

I went to the orientation in August of 2015. it was about a year before my appointments started happening.  I go on Monday for my pre-op appointment and my surgery is booked for March 6, 2017.  It's been a long time coming...I thought that it was a long time to wait...I had my sleep study, ECG, scopes and stuff done very early...but it was just a waiting game!
