Blood work confusion!
Hi everyone!
As I mentioned before my first appointment (Social work) is this Thursday. Reading over my paper work has left me a bit confused. At orientation, and in the orientation manual, it says that blood work should be done 3 weeks before the nursing appointment (my nursing appointment is Feb. 21) and to bring a copy of the blood results to the nursing appointment. However, the orange paper says to do the tests before the first appointment and bring the results to the first appointment...I called but no one answered :( Can anyone clarify this please?
TIA

When I called about the same thing, they clarified nursing appointment....but that I could bring it for 1st appointment and then it would be on file.
After my orientation, I took all the requisitions and did every test in the orientation booklet - blood work, EKG(I think, I am foggy lol) urine, and ultrasound. I requested that the results be sent to the bariatric centre where all my appointments are (windsor for me). This saved me SO MUCH TIME. Everyone I have met at the centre has been shocked that everything is completed. They keep saying "it is up to you how quickly or slowly this process is" - meaning - do the work, and you will get one step closer to surgery :)
