Day 1 post op
Well that was interesting to say the least. Lol
the gas pain was really the only pain I had. It was unbearable at times in recovery. Way worse than when I got the lap band.
Feling a bit better today. Lots of burps but no toots yet ?
I keep walking and walking so hopefully today it will happen.
I can't say enough about the drs and nurses here. The entire staff is amazing.
It all seems surreal that my surgery is done. Wow.
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and messages. Much appreciated.
Time to go for another walk around the circle. Lol

I have been checking back for your update!
So glad that you are up and moving. I wish you all the best on your new journey.
Question regarding where your port was....do you have any additional pain there? I heard after removal that is often a complaint.

I would say no. But they did check it out before surgery and said it wouldn't be an issue because they could feel it. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.
Also I was told that likely some pieces of the tubing would stay in me and that is normal.

I'm so happy for you, that you aren't having any pain besides gas pains (which hopefully will, um, pass, soon, lol.)
Yesterday I pulled a muscle in my abdomen and it was excruciating and all I could think was if it hurts this much to have a muscle pulled, how on earth will I be able to stand having the muscles cut clean through? So good to hear you aren't having a lot of pain.
So glad also that you had a good experience with the staff.
You're on the loser's bench; that is awesome! Woohoo!
Take care.

Wonderful to hear that you had a smooth time of the surgery! You keep walking, it does help...eventually!
Don't forget to take those little sips of water alllll day. Yippie, it's done! step by step you'll feel great within a couple weeks! I'm just shy of 3 weeks and feeling good. The first two weeks of food are kinda boring but manageable. Week 3 food list brings in a lot more variety and energy. Take good care! way to go- YOU DID IT!!!!
