Excess skin surgery referrals/help
Happy New Year; Hope 2017 brings health, love and peace.
I am almost 2 year post op; have lost 90 pounds. I am happy with that bc I feel great but want to loose another 50 pounds to feel even better. It is definitely harder to loose as the years go by.
I have a lot of excess skin in the abdomen area that I want addresses within this year. I am starting to do some research on what is involved and names of Dr. who accept OHIP-I wish I could pay for the surgery with some added bonus surgeries while I am going through this type of surgery but I cannot afford it.
Any suggestions?
Any referrals?
Any advice?
Thank you
Lisa
Have you asked your bariatric surgeon for referrals? Or does he do skin removal surgery? (I know some do). Good luck.

Hi Lisa,
I used Dr Daniel Martin 2221 Keele St. He did my fleur dis lis tummy tuck and a breast lift and later my arms (brachioplasry). He works with ohip. The panni portion of my tummytuck was covered. He is super nice, very caring, and competant. He arranged for my home care nursing after surgery. I know others that have used him as well. He also had the best price. I comparison shopped with another surgeon in scarborough. You can ask your bariatric surgeons office to send multiple referrals if you want to see more than one. There was no consultation fee.
Good luck and start saving your pennies. ooops nickles
Way too early for me, but I was wondering what the cost was of the Tummy Tuck after the panni portion of the surgery was covered. I know that this will be required for me down the road. Also, how long after WLS is suggested prior to considering such a surgery (knowing that everyone is different and will achieve their goals (or close to their goals) at a different time.
Thanks for the information.
