TWH or Guelph
Hi Everyone, I am new here.
This is my first time posting. I have had all my appointments thus far at TWH, and I have noticed some people are getting their surgeries at Guelph. Is there something we have to request to do so? It would be an easier commute for us to go to Guelph instead of TWH. Thanks for your help all, and have a blessed Saturday :)

It seems that TWH has been letting people transfer to Guelph. I had my surgery in Guelph with Dr. Reed.
CENTURY CLUB MEMBER at 6 months post-op.
Referral to Guelph Feb/13, Sleep study and all bloodwork and ultrasound May/13, orientation July/13. Nurse, NUT,SW Sept/13, 2nd NUT, nurse and SW, 3rd round and cleared for surgery Dec/13. Pre-op Apr 7/14, Surgeon May 2/14, Opti Jul 3/14, surgery Jul 17/14.

That's great to know! Hopefully I will know more in February. I will then ask about Guelph once I am approved.

I just had my surgery approved and sent into rounds on thursday.. They told me then that TWH was all caught up.. and probably wouldn't be sending many.. if any to guelph now.. :( I was hoping to go there as seems it's a much shorter wait. But I guess I will wait and see when they go to book my surgeon appt..

You won't be able to transfer to Guelph until all your appointments are done, if then. You may have the option to switch completely to Guelph but I think you would have to restart the program. To be honest I'm not sure which option would be faster.
