What are you eating/doing today? (Monday)
Good morning everyone. We made it through the holidays, woohoo. I am happy to be back to my regular routine. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and socialising, but the minefield of goodies and not doing regular exercise can be challenging.
This morning I'm swimming and then possibly a yoga class this afternoon. Did not go to the movies last night, so I promised DH we would go this evening. He wants to see the new Star Wars film.
The eats today are - protein coffee, asparagus and cheese omelette, Shepherd's pie made with ground turkey and sweet potato mash on top (I bought this), SKYR yogurt with chia, hemp, buckwheat, protein powder, chopped prunes, walnuts and almonds (I make a big batch of this using the entire container of SKYR and let it sit in the fridge overnight. I usually have a 1/2 cup serving in the evening for a snack. It fills me up and keeps me regular)
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning :)
I think we might do a little running around today. I have a coupon for some dog treats and my BF has a gift card he wants to use at his favourite store.
I also want to make some healthy treats -- muffins and oatmeal balls. I have been craving chocolate a lot so I need something healthy and filling.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - yogurt
Lunch - ham and cheese
Snack - pepperette
Dinner - TBD - I need to start planning better
Snack - pudding
All water and vits.
Back to normal. Yeah. Weight has been up and down during the holidays. I would like to get it under control and get my pants feeling looser. Also need to get going with some exercise. Starting the day off with a walk and will see if I have time to get up to anything else later.
May also go to a movie today.
b greek yogurt, granola, blueberries
l bean and bacon soup, ogurt
d chicken (I think), broccoli, salad
s laughing cow and breton crackers
Just booked the movie online and reserved our seats. So much more civilized than getting there early and lining up.
Love bean and bacon soup. Do you make your own or is it Campbells?

Morning all. It's been a rough 2016 and i hope 2017 will be better. Heading off to the hospital soon to see if my sister is making any progress and will be there most of the day. I have a follow up with my doctor for the results of they MRI i did last week. They actually called me wanting to discuss results, so i hope nothing bad.
Like the rest of us, back on the wagon today. Just been letting go lately and not liking the way my clothes feel. Baby steps and hopefully back in the swing of things soon.

Nia I hope that they are able to come up with a good treatment plan for your sister.
Good luck with the protein ice cream. Every time Meg posts it, I think of giving it a try.

Good afternoon everyone!
Today I get back on my treadmill, prior to optifast, I had finally become really good friends with it and was walking 45 minutes and feeling great! I wasn't able to keep up with that while on optifast as I'd feel violently ill afterwards. I've done a lot of walking since surgery but I like the treadmill because I can track how long I've walked, how fast, and for how long, then anything else I do during the day is just a bonus. I got a Fitbit for Christmas and it is helping me stay motivated to reach the goals I've set
Todays eats
B - high protein oatmeal, 1/2 package
S - premier protein
L - 1 poached egg with 2 melba toast
S - premier protein
D - cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup
S - high protein pudding if needed, 1/4 cup
Myfitnesspal and Fitbit vary drastically on the nutrient values, but so far I've stayed below 625 calories a day since surgery, usually averaging about 500 calories a day, the premier protein being more then half those calories. I'm not overly obsessed about the calories at the moment as I'm focusing on getting in as much protein everywhere I can, and taking the 30 minutes to eat a meal, spacing them out properly and just getting to know what I can and cannot eat, I listen to my sleeve and pretty much take orders from it lol
Have a great day everyone!
It's wise not to push your sleeve and to listen to it. MFP and FB are a great resource, but I tend to check that the nutritional labels and their totals are the same. Sometimes people don't input the numbers correctly. Also, if I burned as many calories as MFP says I do, I'd be a stick. Do you sync your Fitbit with MFP?
