Colds before surgery

My whole family is coughing and I'm 2.5 weeks away from surgery. Does anyone know if we can take oil of oregano while on optifast? I woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Really hoping to avoid being sick and having surgery postponed after 3 weeks of optifast. 

I'd call your centre as I believe it might thin the blood.  Not sure how long prior to surgery they told you to avoid Nsaids but I'd treat it the same as that until you talk to them.  I think most of my surgeries, I had to stop Advil one week prior but each centre likely has its own rules on that.

Yes I also read that all herbal supplements should be stopped 2 weeks before surgery so definitely call the centre to ask. I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well!!!!
