So hard to be patient
I finished all my appointments and was cleared to see the surgeon at TWH in September. My appointment was November 25th and along with everyone else, all surgeon appointments at TWH were reschedued to the new year. So I'm waiting and won't see the surgeon until Jan 6.
I know the time will pass, and it won't seem so bad looking back... And I know too that now is the time to work on getting good habits in place- believe me I'm trying.
Just venting. The process is so long!

Losing the regain! I got this!
Yes it is a long wait (mine was 18 months from referral) but you have been doing so well with getting your head in the game and I know you will do well post op. Look at how far you've come since referral. 2017 will be your year to shine.
Try to get in as much activity as you are able to now because you will have to wait usually 6 weeks after surgery before you are approved for exercise. Start organizing your closet into sizes. That way as you start shrinking you can get rid of the bigger sizes.
Enjoy the holidays with your family and try to figure out healthier ways to prepare your favourite dishes such as mashed potatoes made with 3/4 cauliflower and 1/4 potatoes, Splenda cranberry sauce, green beans with almonds, and low carb pumpkin mousse instead of pumpkin pie.

Did you cancel your Dec 20th surgery?
I passed on that date - only because my colleague is away over Christmas - and didn't want to leave my employer with nobody
I'm Jan 23rd now - which is just as good :)

For me it wasn't so much the waiting as it was the not knowing. If I started this 2 years ago and they told me that I'd be having surgery in December 2016 I'd have been happy with that. But not knowing makes it impossible to plan your life around, adds anxiety, stress etc.

YES! That's exactly right! And I know they tell you it will take up to a certain amount of time. I just need to know a date... although at this point I'd definitely like the date to be sooner than later.

It is hard to wait and to be patient. I know that it is a good time to get the good habits going but I don't know about anyone else, but if I only follow the nutrition plan I am hungry ... will be so happy to have a small pouch to help with the full feeling ... January 6th is exactly one month away - the count down is on ... you will do GREAT!
