Got my Pre-surgery meet the team date!

 I'm going for my pre-surgery visit with Dr. Lindsay and his team on January 10th, at St. Joseph's in Toronto.  I'll get my optifast then too, and hopefully know if the February 1st date I was given will be the actual date of surgery or not (the secretary wasn't sure when she called today).  I'll need 3 weeks of optifast. 

I was worried about driving to Toronto in winter so thought about flying but decided to take the Greyhound bus and a few good books for the January trip, and save the money for flying in February.  I'll be staying with family members in January, and I'm really excited about that as I haven't seen my nieces and nephews in a few years and it will be wonderful to see them again.  After surgery I'm going to stay in a hotel though.

I can't  believe this is real, that it is finally going to happen.  So excited!

I can relate to the feeling of I can't believe this is really happening and I am only 12 more sleeps away from surgery. It feels like a dream. I did get a little stressed and nervous when I made a call to the dietician to discuss what else I could do battle this lovely bout of constipation that optifast has give me, tmi I'm sure but it's the ugly facts, anyways she had said that it's very important to not get backed up as a woman at my clinic recently had her surgery canceled th day of due to being backed up. Now I feel the pressure to insure I go as often as I can in the next 11 days! Sorry. I had to share lol

I will keep my fingers crossed for a February 1st surgery date!

Wow, that's soon for sure!  I hope you'll be able to get rid of the constipation; will they let you take anything for it?

I wonder if the dreamlike feeling only goes away on the date of surgery?
