Unanswered Questions
Hi Everyone,
I have a few questions that I am hoping some of you can answer them.
- Will I be in a hospital gown at all times or am I allowed to wear PJs, a long nightgown or a robe after surgery?
- Am I allowed to bring a small fan? I am a naturally very hot person and I find the rooms at TWH to be almost uncomfortable. (I had a Aunt who was just there for a month so got a taste of the room temperature)
- I've settled on taking the B12 injections. Should I get the injection a few days before surgery, a few days after, or do pill form for a bit first?
- When it comes to surgery at TWH...how many people are you allowed to bring with you the day of? I would really like it if my mother and fiance were there with me.
That's it for now! lol.
Thank you ?

I found a hospital gown the best. Didn't care what got on it. Also you will have an IV
Most electrical appliances must be approved by the hospital. A small battery one might be work. Enjoy the warmth. As you lose weight you will always be cold.
B12 - as your doctor
Both can be there they will be left in the waiting room and see you in your room. My husband and son were there.
Good luck
Hello I had surgery on September 2 , 2016 at TWH
1.I took PJ's and could have changed but did not , stayed in two hospital gown.
2. Fan: I did not find the room hot at all.
3.Not sure about the B12, I would as your WLS team.
4.I had my son and his wife with me , however only one person can stay with you while you wait, once your ready for surgery, my daughter in law stayed in the waiting room. They could both be in my room with me. ( I was told only two at a time though).
TWH was wonderful, friendly, friendly staff, comfortable environment.
My surgery was yesterday at TWH. I am currently in hospital gown and super soft stretchy pj bottoms. I find temp seems to fluctuate. I have a blanket from home that is quite warm but nice to have.

So far 80 pounds lost!
Literally I was FREEEEZING in the hospital room at TWH. And my mom wore a coat the entire day.
You can have people in your room.
I brought comfy PJ's but never wore them.
